Flyer Size – Consider a die-cut flyer. A custom flyer promoting your business will stand out among the typical 8.5 X 11. So think about the shape that falls inline with your business. An over-sized toothbrush would be the great for a dentist, scissors for a hair salon, spine for a chiropractor or a set of keys for a real estate agent. The more creative, the better chances you have of standing out to your prospective lead.
Flyer Content – Include a call to action, display eye catching images, have a focal point and don’t over-complicate the design. Content is key so be sure that it is simple and to the point. Try and use as many bullet points as possible, short phrases and separate your ideas with easy formatting.
Results – Use variable data to measure how effective your outreach was by including a unique discount code linked to certain demographics. This will allow you to track who, when and where a particular flyer was given. For example, discount code MONFLIB would tell us this code was given out on Monday, and handed out by someone with the initial of F, at the library. Explain your strategy to your printer and they will mark it as variable data allowing you to use the same artwork, while simply changing out the code area to reflect each demographic.
